A quick note on NFPA 70B
NFPA 70B is the national standard for electrical equipment maintenance. As of 2023, it shifted from "should" to "shall" language — meaning insurers, AHJs, and contracts are starting to require compliance, not just recommend it. Our programs are built to align with 70B from day one, so when your insurer, AHJ, or buyer asks, you've got the documentation ready.

It depends on the equipment, the environment, and how critical it is to your operation. NFPA 70B uses a risk-based approach — some equipment gets checked annually, some quarterly, some more often. We figure that out during your walkthrough.

Infrared scanning lets us see heat signatures in electrical equipment without shutting it down. Hot spots show up before failure — loose connections, overloaded circuits, failing components. NFPA 70B recommends annual IR scans on energized equipment. It's one of the highest-value preventive tools available.

It can. More carriers are giving credits — and in some cases requiring — documented 70B-aligned programs. Even when it doesn't lower your premium directly, it protects you from non-renewals and from claims being denied due to missing maintenance records.
